Exchange of Silk Road Friendship - "Charm of Jiangsu" Cultural Tourism Promotion Conference Held in Portugal

On December 4, "Charm of Jiangsu" Cultural Tourism Promotion Conference was held in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. Nearly 60 people attended the event, including people from the Chinese Embassy in Portugal, Turismo de Portugal (the national tourism authority), Portugal "China Watch" Think Tank, Portugal´s Belt & Road Think Tank, Portuguese tourism sector, and media etc.、

Yang Zhichun, Director of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, introduced to the guests the distinctive features of Jiangsu's "water + culture" from five perspectives, and hoped that more Portuguese friends would learn about Jiangsu and visit China. Meanwhile, Mr. Yang also issued the sincerest invitation to the guests, their families and friends, welcoming them to tour Jiangsu, take a look, and make more beautiful discoveries.

Zhao Bentang, Chinese Ambassador to Portugal, said in his speech that this conference has set up an important platform for exchanges and cooperation between Jiangsu Province and Portugal's culture and tourism sector, and has shown a more dynamic "Charm of Jiangsu" under the international perspective, so that the Portuguese travel agencies and people can have a more in-depth understanding of the most representative cultural attractions and natural beauty of Jiangsu.

Mr. Tiago Brito, Tourism Director of the Turismo de Portugal in China, made a speech in Chinese and Portuguese, reviewing his own travel experience in Jiangsu. He said that Jiangsu's cultural attractions and natural landscapes are unforgettable.

At the conference, the online project "3D Cloud Tour - Charm of Jiangsu" was launched so that viewers could have a direct experience of Jiangsu's beautiful scenery, unique features, rich culture and wonderful life through virtual panoramic presentation, miniature landscape, 3D animation technology, and so on.
