On November 30 local time, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the China Cultural Center in Madrid jointly organized the "Charm of Jiangsu" Cultural Tourism Promotion Conference and "A Garden in Jiangnan Style" Garden Life Art Exhibition in Madrid, Spain.
At the Conference, Mr. Yang Zhichun, the Secretary of Leading Party Group and Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism vividly promoted the "Charm of Jiangsu" in combination with the theme of Jiangnan gardens. He also invited the Spanish tourists to visit Jiangsu to start a poetic encounter. He added, Jiangsu is located in the east coast of China, and is the country’s major province in terms of economy, culture, science and education, tourism and opening up. In recent years, Jiangsu and Spain have been cooperating actively and getting closer in cultural exchanges. In September this year, the Fifth Grand Canal Culture and Tourism Expo was held in Suzhou, and Mr. Calvo, the Consulate General of Spain in Shanghai, was invited to attend the event. When the Spanish Pavilion first appeared at the Expo, Chinese people were impressed. The theme of this Conference is Jiangnan Garden, and Spanish tourists would have the chance to appreciate the charm of Chinese culture, the aesthetics of oriental life and the "Charm of Jiangsu".
Mr. He Yong, Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Spain, said that this year is the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Spain, and it is also the year of culture and tourism between China and Spain. Over the past year, China has held 13 cultural tourism promotion conferences in Madrid for different regions. It is hoped that through this series of events for the year of culture and tourism between China and the Spain, the culture and tourism sectors of the two countries will have the opportunity to communicate more fully and learn from each other.
At the Conference, the micro-video "The Most Beautiful Encounter with a Time Difference of 7 Hours" in Chinese and Spanish and "3D Cloud Tour – Charm of Jiangsu" were released online, which allows the Spanish viewers to experience the beauty of Jiangsu close-up through panoramic virtual presentation, 3D animation, micro-video, etc. The Conference also promoted the top 10 travel routes in Jiangsu.
The Conference also set up Jiangnan garden life art exhibition in the China Cultural Center in Madrid. The aesthetics and poetic elegance of Jiangnan gardens are vividly presented through layers of staggered scenes, so that visitors can immerse themselves in the experience of the garden life and joy. The exhibition will last until early January 2024.
