The Huai Salt is famous for its large particles, white color, and dry nature. The production method is mainly to evaporate the salt on the beach under the sunlight. Up until now, no technology can replace this skill. It reflects the wisdom from the long-term production practice by salt workers in Huaibei and is deemed as a great and valuable legacy. In 2014, it was listed in the “Representative Projects of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage in China”.
