Changzhou Ancient Canal - World Cultural Heritage

The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal passes through the city of Changzhou. For thousands of years, this ancient canal has been the mother river of Changzhou, rich in cultural resources with numerous scenic spots and monuments. It is a treasure trove keeping the history and culture of Changzhou. Today, the Changzhou Ancient Canal is becoming a sightseeing corridor integrating scenic spots and historical and cultural landscapes.

Dongpo Park - the Strategic Location of the Ancient Canal to the East

Dongpo Park, a classical garden, is the strategic location of the Ancient Canal to the east. The scenic spot consists of a peninsula surrounded by water on three sides and a half-moon island in the Ancient Canal, and the two islands are connected by an ancient bridge from the Ming Dynasty. The islands are small in size but hide beautiful places with many ancient monuments.

Jiaoxi Ancient Town - The Representative of Jiangnan Town in Ming and Qing Dynasties

There are hundreds of well-preserved Ming and Qing Dynasty buildings in Jiaoxi Ancient Town, and the layout of "one river, four bridges, five streets and thirteen alleys" are still intact. Here you can taste the traditional cuisine such as "Jiaoxi Mutton", "Steamed Pork with Fragrant Grains", "Jiaota Cake", and their traditional cooking techniques and ingredients which are inherited and continued for generations, and boast distinct historical and cultural features.

Tianmu Lake - National 5A Scenic Area and One of the First Ecotourism Demonstration Areas in Jiangsu Province

Tianmu Lake is so named because it is a part of Tianmu Mountain, and it is known as "Pearl of Jiangnan" and "Green Wonderland". It has two national-level reservoirs, namely, Shahe Reservoir and Daxi Reservoir in the scenic area. It is also one of the first ecotourism demonstration areas in Jiangsu Province.

Tianmu Lake Nanshan Bamboo Sea - National 5A Scenic Spot

The Tianmu Lake Nanshan Bamboo Sea Scenic Spot is situated in Liyang, which is at the junction of Jiangsu, Anhui and Zhejiang provinces, and is a national 5A scenic area. With the theme of bamboo culture and longevity culture, the scenic spot is surrounded by 5,766 acres of bamboo that hide the poetic charm of green mountains and waters, and it is a picturesque and elegant place reputed as the "Paradise of Nanshan, Dreamlike Bamboo Sea".

Maoshan Forest World-National 4A Scenic Area

The Maoshan Forest World is located in the scenic Jintan Maoshan Tourism Resort in Jiangsu Province. It has convenient transportation, the Ermao Peak of Maoshan Mountain at its back and the submarine reservoir of Xiangu Village, with a forest coverage of over 80%. The forest and bamboo sea are vast and continuous, allowing people to escape from the city and experience the romantic life in a forest.

Baosheng Park Scenic Spot – Earned the Title of "The Most Charming Vacation and Recreation Destination in Yangtze River Delta" in 2018

Baosheng Park is located at the foot of Maoshan Mountain in Jintan District, Jiangsu Province, with a total area of 577 acres. Centered around the theme of "wild fun", the park has built nearly 40 wild amusement attractions such as grass-skiing, cliff swings, sky walks, jungle rafting in Maoshan Mountain and four museums of art, bonsai, stone-appreciation and tea art, and the people's air-raid defense. Runyang Yangtze River Bridge - China's First Bridge that Combines Rigidity and Flexibility

The Runyang Yangtze River Bridge is the first bridge that combines rigidity and flexibility over the Yangtze River, consisting of six sections. The north branch is a rigid cable-stayed bridge, and the south branch is a flexible suspension bridge. The lights on the bridges form a beautiful curve at night, which is especially elegant on the river flowing eastward.

He Garden - National 4A Scenic Area

He Garden, formerly called Jixiao Mansion, was built during reign of Emperor Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty. It is characterized by the combined Chinese and Western architectural styles as one of Yangzhou's best private gardens. It is also a national key cultural relics protection site in the first batch of national key gardens that includes the Summer Palace in Beijing and the Humble Administrator's Garden in Suzhou.

Dongguan Street - the Most Representative Historical Street

The ancient city of Dongguan has a history of more than 1200 years, and earned the title of "the best trading port in Southeast China" in the Tang Dynasty. A large number of salt merchants' residences and garden villas are concentrated in Dongguan Street, and the well-preserved ones now include Geyuan Garden, Hua Family Garden, Jie'nan Book House, Dongrong Garden, and many other salt merchants' relics. At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, Dongguan Street became the birthplace of many time-honored brands.

Slender West Lake - National 5A Scenic Area

The Slender West Lake Scenic Area is an important part of the Grand Canal which is a world cultural heritage. The gardens by the lake, which were built during the reign of Emperors Kangxi and Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty, have the beauty of the south and the majesty of the north. The rippling green lake connects the famous gardens and scenic spots such as Xu Yuan Garden, Xiaojinshan Island, Wuting Bridge, White Pagoda, Twenty-four Bridge, Wanhua Garden and the Double-Peak Cloud Inn, which are famous both at home and abroad with their unique charm.
