Located at the southern foot of Jinping Mountain, Taohuajian is 9 kilometers away from the urban area of Lianyungang City. It is a AAAA scenic area, which was the pilgrimage center of Dong Yi race seven thousand years ago. Beautiful landscape and beautiful scenery here have been known as “Jiuzhaigou Valley in the north of the Suzhou”, with 36 sceneries spreading all over it, mist shrouding in clouds, flowing springs and waterfalls, full of green grass and fragrant flowers all over the mountain, it is like a fairyland in a picture.
Here the mountain is green and the water is green, the grains are heavy and the gullies are deep. Every year in April, peach blossoms are everywhere and the mountain and the stream set off each other. The picturesque scenery attracts numerous tourists coming like weaving, hence the name “Taohuajian Mountain Stream” is given.
There are many pictographic stones with different shapes and realistic shapes on both sides of Taohuajian Mountain Stream. Some of them are shaped like rabbits and are called “Jade Rabbit Looking at the Moon”, which is listed at the top of the strange stones in Taohuajian scenic spot.
The most worth seeing is the rock painting on the General Cliff in the mountain, which is also known as the “Oriental Book of Heaven”. The rock paintings are carved into the flat black rocks that are about 22 meters long and 15 meters wide, the contents covering human face, animal face, crops, sun, stars and other symbols. The contents of rock paintings reflect the worship and attachment consciousness of the ancient people to crops, celestial stars, birds and animals, which is a true portrayal of the production and life pictures at that time.

Drive traffic: from railway station in Lianyungang City to Taohuajian, the whole journey is 13.9 km. Starting from Lianyungang station to go into the Yanhe North Road, drive for 1.7 kilometers straight, then go into the Yanhe South Road, drive straight for 4.8 kilometers, the go into the Shishu Road. After running for 1.1 kilometers, turn right, go into the Jinping Road, drive for 3.6 kilometers, turn right. From Jinping Road to the Taohuajian scenic area, the car will run for 2.6 km before arriving at Taohuajian.
