The Dazong Lake Tourist Resort is located at the junction of Yancheng and Taizhou, 42 kilometers away from Yancheng downtown and covers an area of 30 square kilometers. The lake is oval, with a 4A level scenic spot, pleasant climate and clear water.
The resort is divided into eight functional areas: entrance plaza area, water style area, historical and cultural area, Buddhist cultural area, Ludang maze area, wetland ecological area, fishery sightseeing area and lakeside resort area. The Ludang maze has been selected for Guinness Records of China.
The Dazong Lake has its magnificent scenery. The water waves reflect the ray of light, and the clouds reflect on the bottom of the lake, which is different in all seasons. In the spring, the lake is clear and the shoaly land is green; in summer, the lotus is connected to the sky and the lotus leaves are uniquely red; in autumn, the rice has blossoms and the crabs are fat, and the full moon is over the peaceful lake; in winter, the reeds are white as snow in the lake, the fish is diving, and the wintering birds are occasionally flying over the lake. There are more than 120 kinds of plants in the lake area and more than 50 kinds of wild animals. The people and nature here are in perfect harmony.
The resort also features special features such as water weddings and gun battles. It offers special delicious food such as honey lobster, hairy crabs, and steamed loach, and special tourist souvenirs such as reed crafts.
