In the Lianyungang Haizhou Bay scenic area that is located in Zhonghaitou Town, Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province, the scenery is beautiful, the climate is pleasant and the sunlight is sufficient. This scenic area owns the largest quality beach in Jiangsu Province. With the wide beach, steady tide, long golden sands, lush forest and fresh air, it has the marine, beach, air, sunshine, greens and other superior conditions required by the coastal tourism at the present world, and is known as “Beidaihe” in Jiangsu Province.
There are many functional areas which can be used for vacation and recreation in the scenic area. First, the commercial service cultural region, construction commercial service center, international conference center, marine scientific research, aquarium, villa style hotel group, cultural garden from Qin and Han Dynasties, large-scale playground, falling sea-appreciating square and hundred- meter trestle that reaches the sea surface.
Second, the hotel sanitarial area that owns both the weekend resort on water and the seaside hospital that owns the cultivating function. Third, recreational sports area in which there are swimming pool group, forest villa, land sports center, vertical field, yacht dock and so on. Fourth, the sand bath area, the entire 4 km long coastline forms the outdoor bathing place beach on the beach. Fifth, the folk customs area, in which mainly the tourism services, marine fishing and beach picking form a natural tourism landscape.
A total of 10 scenic spots are planned in the scenic area, respectively, they are Shi Li Cui Di,, Qin Dao Chun Xiao, Zhu Peng Fishing Fire, Huailin Autumn Moon, Qing Ta Overlooking, Long River Morning Light, Mu Tai Fang Hua, Ancient Charm Revisited, Mirror Lake Duckweed Living, Changhong Hugs the Moon.
