Dafeng Wild Deer Marsh

Dafeng Wild Deer Marsh is an important part of the World Natural Heritage in China Yellow (Bohai) Sea Migratory Bird Habitat (Phase I). Adjacent to the Dafeng Milu Nature Reserve, it has 214.1 acres of natural water and the largest wild reed marsh in the north of the Yangtze River. Every autumn and winter, flocks of migratory birds fly over the Dafeng Wild Deer Marsh. They come from the north to the south just to find a warm and comfortable place to winter.

Dafeng Wild Deer Marsh is an excellent place to watch the sunrise. As the sun breaks through the night and awakens the sleeping Marsh, Egrets begin to fly into the sky, milu herds gallop and fishermen in twos and threes become the unique scene in the Wild Deer Marsh.
