As a state Grade AAAA tourist scenic area, Yancheng Sea Salt History and Culture Scenic Area covers an area of over 100 hectare totally, in which China Sea Salt Museum is the only one to show sea salt civilization.
The scenic area is a leisure resort composed of China Sea Salt Museum, Yanzhen Water Street, Water Town, Dongjin Road Food Street, Amusement Street and Yandu Garden which integrate catering, resort and hotel function. Located in the middle section of the urban area, Yandu Garden connects with the ancient salt transportation river — Chuanchang River.
Within Yanzhen Street, you are not only able to watch the folk unique skills and Huai Opera acrobatics performance, but can also buy tourism and culture supplies and local featured goods. In the scenic area, during each Lantern Festival, lantern show is held for celebrating the new year, attracting lots of tourists to watch lanterns and enjoy sightseeing.
