Hongshan Forest Zoo, located in Heyan Road, Gulou District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, is a 4A-level tourist attraction in China. With a total area of 68 hectares and a greening coverage rate of over 85%, the park is a good place to protect wildlife and ecological environment.
The animal exhibition area includes Big Panda Hall, Orangutan Hall, Meerkat Hall, Asian Elephant Hall, Australia Area, Wolf Valley, Monkey Mountain, Baby Panda Hall, Hornbill Hall, Crane Garden, Lingzhang Hall, Bear Valley, Lion and Tiger Ecological Park and Giraffe Hall.
The park features more than 280 rare animals from around the world, including Asian elephants, giraffes, zebras, kangaroos, white tigers, leopards and orangutans. The state protected animals are: giant pandas, golden monkeys, gibbons, black langurs, red-crowned cranes, manchurian tigers, red decries, muntjac, green peacocks, Yangtze alligators and so on.
