Jiangsu Province, China, [May26th] - Jiangsu Tourism (Russia) Promotion Center, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism Jiangsu Province, successfully organized a delegation visit from Russian-speaking countries and institutions in China. The purpose of the visit, which took place from May 18th to May 24th, was to strengthen cultural and tourism exchanges under the Belt and Road Initiative framework and facilitate in-depth cooperation and discussions.
Comprising 10 representatives from Russia, Belarus, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan, the delegation embarked on an inspection tour of key destinations within Jiangsu Province, including Yangzhou, Taizhou, Nanjing, and Xuzhou. The itinerary was carefully crafted by the Jiangsu Tourism (Russia) Promotion Center, in close cooperation with relevant cultural and tourism administrations, to showcase the rich cultural heritage and charm of Jiangsu Province. Throughout the visit, the delegation had the opportunity to explore various themes, including the Civilization of the Grand Canal, Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment, Intangible Cultural Heritages, Museums, Delicious Cuisine, and Cultural Performances. The immersive experience aimed to present a captivating and internationally appealing depiction of Jiangsu Province, showcasing the profoundness of Chinese civilization. The efforts of the Jiangsu Tourism (Russia) Promotion Center were met with unanimous praise from the delegation.
One notable event was the active participation and assistance of the delegation in the "2023 May 19th China Tourism Day" theme event organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism Jiangsu Province, Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation, Yangzhou Municipal People's Government, and Jiangsu Provincial Tourism Association. Alexandra, a member of the delegation, had the honor of participating in the launch ceremony as a representative of a foreign travel company.
In Nanjing, the capital city of Jiangsu Province, the Jiangsu Tourism (Russia Speaking Market) Promotion Seminar was successfully held on May 22nd. The seminar, attended by Mr. Xu Quanjun, Director of the Foreign Exchange and Cooperation Division of the Department of Culture and Tourism Jiangsu Province, along with nearly 30 representatives, facilitated in-depth communication and exchange of information on market demand and consumer preferences. The discussions laid a solid foundation for product upgrading, channel expansion, introduction of key projects, and innovation in promotion methods within the Russian-speaking tourist market.
Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan hold strategic importance as Russian-speaking countries under the Belt and Road Initiative framework. This in-depth inspection tour has paved the way for broader cultural and tourism cooperation between Jiangsu Province and these countries. Building upon the principle of mutual benefit, both sides intend to strengthen communication and cooperation, actively promote the mutual exchange of tourists, deepen people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and foster practical collaboration in the field of culture and tourism.
