Plum blossom is the first of ten famous followers of China and it is a representative traditional follower of China. The follow has a cultivation history of more than 300 years and appreciated since early Han Dynasty. Cherry blossoms were originated in China. According to Appraisal of Cherry Blossoms, a authoritative publication of Japan, cherry blossoms were generated in Himalayas. After being cultivated by human beings, it was transferred into areas along Yangtze river, southwestern and Taiwan island of China. Emperor palaces had been found cultivating cherry blossoms in Qin and Han Dynasties and the history of cultivating cherry blossoms has been more than 2000 years.

Peach blossoms were generated in central and north part of China. The blossom can be processed into cakes, balls, tea and other food. Guelder rose is city flower of Yangzhou. People in Yangzhou love this flower very much. There is a guelder rose planted in Kangxi era of Qing Dynasty in Yangzhou Daming Temple, which has a history of more than 300 years.

Apricot blossom has a long history. It was recorded as early as Guanzi, hundreds of years BC. This means that cultivation of apricot has been as long as 2000 to 3000 years.
