Zhenjiang Folk Culture Art Museum is the first cultural art museum in China to explore, collect, display, develop and study regional folk culture. It is a national 2A scenic spot.
The cultural and creative center, multi-function hall and special exhibition hall are located on the first floor of the exhibition hall. As an important place for research and development of intangible cultural heritage projects, the Cultural and Creative Center protects and promotes Zhenjiang’s intangible cultural heritage through the exhibition and sale of intangible cultural heritage. Special exhibition halls can hold or host personalized exhibitions; There is a small stage in the multi-function hall, which can be used as an important window for the “living” inheritance of intangible cultural heritage, organizing on-site performance, teaching and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage inheritors.
Zhenjiang Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall and “Legend of White Snake” Exhibition Hall are on the second floor. Zhenjiang Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall is based on Zhenjiang’s local intangible cultural heritage and focuses on displaying municipal and above intangible cultural heritage projects. The exhibition hall of “Legend of White Snake” shows the cultural and artistic charm of “Legend of White Snake” from all directions and angles, with the help of material works, pictures and texts accumulated by Zhenjiang Folk Culture Art Museum over the years.
Zhenjiang Folk Literature and Art Database are on the third floor, which is known as “the first library in China” by our folk literature and art experts. It presents precious folk literature and art materials from all over the country in the form of graphic materials, physical objects and multimedia.
