Mountain Jinshan Scenic Spot covers the area of over 40 hectares. Up till now, the Jinshan Temple enjoys a history of over 1,600 years, and it is originated from the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Mountain Jinshan emerged as a famous mountain in Jiangnan and enjoyed a high reputation abroad for three reasons, First, it is inseparably connected with the Jinshan Temple; second, Mountain Jinshan has a lot of places of interest, with approximately over 20 scenic spots; third, each historical site of Mountain Jinshan is endowed with a charming fairy tale.

Mountain Jiaoshan is the unique tourist island surrounded by water in the Yangtze River. It has many precious cultural relics and famous historic sites: The scenic spot of Inscriptions on Cliffs is world renown place with multiple forest of steles, painting and calligraphy works, which is the biggest forest of steles in Jiangnan area. The stele of Cuohe Inscription reputed as “The King of Stele” is a rare treasure; Mount Jiaoshan has many temples, viharas and pavilions whih has over ten famous temples such as Dinghui Temple, Biefeng Nunnery.

Beigu Hill is located between Mountain Jinshan and Jiaoshan, and can be divided into front, middle and rear mountain peak. The rear peak, as the main peak, is the concentrated area of scenic spots and historical sites, and the Sweet Dew Temple is a high-pitch peak. Different from the architectural structures of Mountain Jinshan and Mountain Jiaoshan, the temples and pavilions of Beigu Hill presented the building style of “Mountains Guarded by Temples.” Thus, it seems to have the momentum of pavilion flying in the air, which features the “Temple on the Mountain.”
