In the autumn, Qixia Mountain takes on a new look. The most beautiful scenery of Qixia Mountain appears in late autumn, as there is a stretch of maple forests with overwhelming fiery-red maple leaves at the end of November and early December. The scenery matches the description of “Trees are dressed in beautiful colors” perfectly. The dazzling fiery-red maple leaves under the sun give the picturesque and intoxicating view. As the well-known verse goes, “Stopped the coach to enjoy the late maple woods, frosty leaves redder than the February flowers”, and another one, “After suffering from strong wind and bitter coldness, the maple leaves are like falling flowers”, these are all evidence that the Qixia Mountain is nothing but poetic and picturesque in late autumn.
