Huishan Ancient Town

Huishan Ancient Town, known as “the open-air history museum”, is located at the foot of the Huishan Mountain. It is like a cultural treasure house where ancestral hall, tea spring and clay figurine culture are all available. In ancient China, people attached great importance to blood lineage and clan relatives, so they built ancestral halls to deal with clan affairs and offered sacrifices to their ancestors. The ancient town has more than 100 ancestral halls in different styles, various memorial archways and stone tablets which record the history and culture of over 100 family names. You can also enjoy the scenery of south Chinese garden in the town. Two small rivers are crossed with each other in the town in an orderly way. Many tea rooms are built on the banks of the river. If you are tired by the walk, you can rest in a tea room, make a cup of good tea, listen to the stories of the second spring in the world and experience the unique life style here.
