Runyang Wetland Park is adjacent to the Yangtze River in the south, Runyang Yangtze River Bridge in the west, ancient canals in the east, and Jiangsu high-grade highway along the river in the north, 13 kilometers away from Yangzhou City. The wetland scenic area covers an area of 232 hectares, including 1.5 million square meters of green space and 470,000 square meters of wetland in waters. The greening rate is over 70%.
The park has an excellent location, a good ecological wetland landscape, beautiful natural landscapes, and a strong historical town culture. The park is divided into 4 areas, which are wetland ecological tourism area, habitat protection area, river embankment scenery area and ecological isolation area.
The whole scenic spot combines ancient canal style, ancient town style and ecological leisure. It not only shows the integration of the Guazhou Canal culture and the Yangtze River culture, but also reflects the harmonious unification of natural scenery with historical culture and human environment. The park has now been awarded the title of “Provincial Eco-tourism Demonstration Zone”.
