Taizhou Breakfast Museum, located in Taizhou Old Street, consists of an exhibition area on the first floor and an interactive area on the second floor. It is the first professional museum in China that displays the breakfast culture in Taizhou in a systematical manner. The words on the plaque were written by Jia Pingwa, a famous Chinese writer.
Taizhou Breakfast Museum presents a clear context of the development of Taizhou Breakfast Culture. More than 300 cultural relics related to the Breakfast Culture, such as porcelain, objects, historical records, calligraphy and paintings, and sculptures, etc. demonstrate the splendor of Taizhou Breakfast Culture since the Han Dynasty. The time-honored teahouse layout creates an immersive sense of time-and-space travelling. “The flavor is astonishing, and the fragrance is irresistible”. The museum has also reserved the evaluations of Taizhou Breakfast made by numerous celebrities such as Zhu Ziqing, Mei Lanfang, Tang Lusun, and Zhao Puchu. On the second floor from the north side of the museum, visitors can experience the fun of making breakfast.
