Lizhong Water Forest Park located in Lizhong Town Xinghua City is the biggest artificial（man-made） ecological forest where is a paradise for wildlife. There are more than 60,000 birds in the forest at most. The Scenic forest is mainly dominated by metasequoia. The beautiful egrets fly through the forest, which makes the whole spot combined dynamic and static, giving people a sense of relaxation.
The water system whose channels are vertical and horizontal in the park is rich, which forms a “river loop, metasequoia forset” landscape. The water forest in Lizhong is a natural ecological oxgen warehouse which is a good vacation place for urban people to return to nature.
The forest named “Hero Forest” consists of 108 tall metasequoias in the park by the meaning of the 108 heroes from Water Margin. The most unique entertainment item in the forest is “rafting”. Rowing and siting on a raft slowly between the gullies in the dense forest will startled the water birds resting on the beach. They will flutter away, which makes the trip full of unlimited enjoyment of the countryside. Water forest attractions include “forest maze”, “Wen Ying Bridge”, “Luowu Pavilion” and so on.
There are also several scenic spots with modern water features in the park, such as water lanes in the forest, the boardwalk in Banqiao, rarely-confused forest, Buyun Bridge, fishing areas and entertainment areas.
In May 2014, the Lizhong Water Forest Park was rated as a National 4A tourist attraction, which is the first national 4A tourist attraction in Xinghua.
